Hey there everyone! Sorry it’s been a while, but I’m back now!

I’ve been at National Unified Auditions the past several days auditioning for MT and acting BFA programs so things have been a little crazy, but I wanted to debut my first series of Lydia’s Lustings! Each month I’ll be listing the products I’m lusting over this month and basically drooling over them. I wanted to use my monthly wishlists as a launching point to rant and discuss makeup with all y’all! Without further ado, here’s my makeup and skincare wishlist of the month!

Dr. Paw Paw Tinted Balm Review

Dr. Paw Paw Tinted Balm Review

paw paw_01_square

Hi there everyone! I hope this review reaches you well. It’s been awhile since I last talked to all of my lovely readers! Hope you’re excited for this review!

Overview:

For this overview, we’ll do something a bit unorthodox. Imma tell you a lil story chillun.
As I wrote in my little goodbye post before my temporary hiatus, I was at Carnegie Mellon’s musical theater intensive for six weeks. I had basically zero time off campus but we went to see Ant Man… and then, an opportunity.
An Urban Outfitters.
It’s not even that I like Urban Outfitters. I think it’s extremely overpriced and overrated. But hey, I hadn’t bought any makeup for like… three weeks. I was going through withdrawls. I have a problem. I know. It’s horrible.
So I went in and these tubes caught my eye. Dr. Paw Paw’s Tinted Medicated Balm. I tried them and thought they were unique and would protect my skin while still giving me some color. Perfect for quick makeup on campus. The counselors started trying to lasso us out so I bought the red and coral tint and ran out of there and onto the bus.
Great decision. I love this stuff!

What to Wear: Dance Class

What to Wear: Dance Class

Hi there everyone!

As a performer I know dressing neatly and with proper hair and makeup can sometimes be a bit daunting. I’ve created a few Polyvore sets to help inspire your outfits and I’ll give you some pointers for sweat-busting hair and makeup as well.

Ballet to Hip Hop (Dance Class) Ballet to Hip Hop (Dance Class) by lydia11-11 featuring ban.do

Pullover sweatshirt blackfive.com

Porselli ballet shoes luisaviaroma.com

Change purse discountdance.com

Ban do hair accessory nordstrom.com

Holika Holika blush urbanoutfitters.com

Essie nail polish $22 – nelly.com

Womens Black Mesh Insert Panel BodySuit Girls Body Suit Ladies Sexy… ebay.fr

Junior Lulu Bun Shaper nordstrom.com

NYX NYX Angel Veil – Skin Perfecting Primer dermstore.com

This is an example of what a busy dance student like me would wear to transition from one class to another. I recommend a simple, solid colored leotard (this one has a cutout so you’ll need to wear shorts or skirts to keep it from being obscene) and a sweatshirt and pants to wear over when going from class to class. Layering over leotards helps make it easier to run from class to class and a bun ring and bobbies will keep your hair neat. If you do choose to wear makeup, make it a light bb cream like in this set.

Super Fast Makeup Routine and Products!

Super Fast Makeup

Hi all!

As you know I haven’t been very active on this site lately! It is because- as the title suggests- I’m a junior in high school.

Worst. year. to. be. in. school. ever. (So many tests!)

I wanted to give you all some tips on how to get ready for school and what products are best for girls on the go. I figured that this article would help busy moms and other girls who have to bolt out of the house ASAP (like me!)

Best Makeup Products for Gyaru! (Gyaru Series Part Two)

Best Makeup Products for Gyaru! (Gyaru Series Part Two)

gyaru pt 2 thumbnail

Hi all and welcome back, or if you’re new here, nice to meet you! I’m so glad you stopped by~

As part two of my gyaru series I wanted to compile a list of some great makeup products that you can get easily online or in store that will have you looking gyaru quicker than you can say kawaii!

I’ll list my favorite products by type so if you’re looking for a specific item you’ll be able to find it super easily!

Face Makeup:

-BB or CC Creams

While I’d say that the Dream BB Cream by Maybelline is pretty accessible in store, I honestly wasn’t too impressed with it. Other good alternatives are the Lebalage BB Cream which can be bought from eBay for about $4.50 at most or a Missha or Etude House product. I’m currently using Lebalage and really like it but I’ve heard great things about Etude House and Missha’s BB creams as well. I also bought my mom the Rivecowe BB Cream from eBay and she loves it!

How to: Rock the Pastel Goth Trend

How to: Rock the Pastel Goth Trend

Tutorial Template

Hi there all! It’s not a surprise to say that the pastel goth look is on trend right now, but a lot of people have been asking me how to dial this look down. Pastel goth can be creepy-cute but also a bit hard to adopt if you are a professional or don’t want to be seen as a satanist rebel. I wanted to put together some Polyvore sets along with some explanations on how to adapt this trend to your needs.

Pretty in Purple Pretty in Purple by lydia11-11 featuring a nail polish Dorothy Perkins sleeveless dress / Rag Bone black vest / Black shoes / Pinko black handbag / Pieces studded belt, $59 / Nail treatment / OPI nail polish, $20

Why it works:

This is a perfect way to make pastel goth part of a casual outfit. By pulling a Project Runway and mixing soft elements like this purple dress and hard by wearing a leather vest, this look is cool and pretty! The adorable nails make the outfit a bit more girly.

Pink Spring Makeup Look

Pink Spring Makeup Look

Hey everyone! I tried out some new makeup ideas yesterday and wanted to share the results.

To get the look:

For the lips;

For the lip I layered different shades of color to make an ombre lip that pops.

1) Cover the entire lip in light pink lipstick.

2) Next, do a large ring of hot pink in the middle of the lips, leaving only a thin outline of the soft pink base.

3) Where your lips touch together, add a bit of red.

4) Softly blend the lines from each layer to create a softer look.

For the eyes;

Four of the Best Spring Makeup Tips

Four of the Best Spring Makeup Tips

Fashion Blog 421 002

Hey there everyone! The Fashion Mentor is here to give you her best spring makeup tips!

As the seasons change, your makeup and skincare routine must also do so accordingly. Check these five tips to get a head start this season!

1. Mix your primer and moisturizer!

Not only does primer give your makeup a great staying power, but it also creates a smooth base for makeup that is essential, especially with those who are trying to cover acne or scarring. Moisturizer, on the other hand, helps protect the condition of the skin. My favorite new technique is to mix a minute amount of my favorite moisturizers (Beyond Belief Lift and Firm) with my primer (ELF). It not only keeps my makeup in place, but also leaves my skin soft. I find that this mixing of products gives a great finish.
