Nooni Snowflake Cleanser Review

Nooni Snowflake Cleanser Review

Hey guys! This is another product I’ve gotten in my massive hauls the past few months. I got this in the Korean Beauty Secrets with Kerry & Coco Memebox. It is a great cleanser and I’m excited to tell y’all about it! I’ve copy-pasted the ingredients here for you.

Mineral oil, cetyl ethylhexanoate, PEG-20 glyceryl triisostearate, polyethylene, PEG-8 isostearate, butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, water, tocopheryl acetate, fragrance, phenoxyethanol, caprylyl glycol, ethylhexylglycerin, 1,2-hexanediol, butylene glycol, nelumbo nucifera flower extract, citrus unshiu peel extract, citric acid, oxygen

Additional info can be found here at the CosDNA website.

Note: I’ve heard some people bashing mineral oil, but according to cosmetic chemist blogs and research you shouldn’t have to avoid it unless you have a particular sensitivity to it.

Unique qualities:

This is a balm cleanser that melts into an oil. I have another product like this (Egyptian Magic Cream) so I’m used to this unorthodox texture. It starts out very creamy and thick and becomes pretty liquidy as an oil on the skin.

It comes in a 120 g tub with a spatula, which is great because you don’t want to scoop out the product with your fingers and melt/dirty it. I also like that the labeling doesn’t come off with wear or water, much like other makeup and skincare packaging does.

This cleanser is $16 and the expiration date is 12 mos. (that little black container that has numbers and letters in it on your makeup packaging will tell ya!) I am almost through it and I bought it in December, so I don’t know if it would last a year. However, I think I’ve also been using too much. That being said, I think that this cleanser is worth it because there’s a good amount of balm and you don’t need a lot.

Very light and sweet smelling. Shouldn’t be a problem for those of you who are sensitive to fragrance (I am as well).

This is incredible at getting off makeup and it’s really moisturizing. I love how gentle this is on the skin, and I think it would be great for those with dry or sensitive skin. If you have oily skin this may not be the cleanser for you. I love this for the winter months because it helps counteract dryness.

Like I mentioned in the beginning of this post, this is a balm to oil cleanser. It is mostly mineral oil and is very thick and creamy.

Overall rating:

4/5 stars!

I took a star off for two reasons: the price and the very oily texture. It’s mostly because I’m not used to it but this cleanser still throws me off with how oily it gets in contact with the skin. I also think the price is too steep for me because cleansers have to be repurchased much more often than other products and as a high school kid it’s too much for me to buy it regularly. Overall I’d recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality cleanser that makes the skin completely clean after wearing heavy makeup.

It’s on sale for $13 at Memebox, so if you’d like to pick it up you can do so here!
