Hi there lovely readers! I’ve been using the It Cosmetics CC Cream and CC Plus Lip Gloss for several months and wanted to give you all a review and tell you what I thought. Here’s a brand review for you! Let’s start with the lip gloss review.
After trying the It Cosmetics CC cream I decided to try their CC Plus Lip Gloss in the shade Live. It’s $18 because It Cosmetics is a higher end brand. Read on to see if it’s worth the money!
This lip gloss is incredibly nourishing because it has serum mixed in.
A standard tube with a metal top and a doe foot applicator. The outside shows the brand and color name but because of the type of paint they used to create the design it can be easily scratched off.
This gloss is pretty expensive for the amount you get, so it makes a nice treat or occasional buy.
It smells like a serum but it’s a pleasant and light smell.
This gloss stays for about two hours because of its non-sticky formula.
A gloss with extra moisturizing properties means this gloss is a bit thicker but not super goopy.
I’d give this gloss 3.5 out of 5 stars. It’s one of my favorites because of the shade and moisturizing qualities, but I deducted points for the expensive price tag and because it could definitely have longer wear. Otherwise this is one of my favorite glosses. Moving on to the CC cream…
The It Cosmetics CC Cream comes in three shades and comes at a hefty price at $38 a tube.
This has serum and SPF all in one formula.
This is a plastic pump tube with a metal top and nozzle so it doesn’t get messy. The only irritating thing is similar to the lip gloss in that the product information can get scratched off.
I bought an ounce tube for my birthday last November and had to replace it about a month ago. I used it every day for the first few months and since it’s so thick you don’t need a lot for coverage. That being said, a tube lasts a decent amount of time. If you’re looking for a full coverage CC cream that’s really moisturizing and has SPF and serum, I would definitely buy it as a treat just because of the price. If you can afford to make this CC cream a part of your daily routine, go for it and buy it on a more regular basis.
This has a serumy smell just like the lip gloss and it’s almost botanical. Not too heavy but still pleasent.
I’d say this has about 6 hours worth of wear. It’s got a medium to full coverage depending on how much you go back in. Because it’s not a foundation it’s not cakey but despite the added benefits of the CC cream it still has a good coverage and color.
This is a cream product which is smooth, creamy and a bit thicker but not cakey.
I’d give this product about a 3.5 out of 5 stars because of the price and wear, much like the CC Plus Lip Gloss. If it maintained its coverage better during the day and was cheaper it’d definitely get a 5.
This brand is great because of its innovative mix of skincare and makeup but not so great as far as the price. For that I’d say the brand earns a 4 out of 5 for its overall quality. I hope that my review of these two products helps you decide how you feel about trying out It Cosmetics!
Thanks lovely readers!
