Hey there everyone! Sorry it’s been a while, but I’m back now!
I’ve been at National Unified Auditions the past several days auditioning for MT and acting BFA programs so things have been a little crazy, but I wanted to debut my first series of Lydia’s Lustings! Each month I’ll be listing the products I’m lusting over this month and basically drooling over them. I wanted to use my monthly wishlists as a launching point to rant and discuss makeup with all y’all! Without further ado, here’s my makeup and skincare wishlist of the month!
- Flower Skincognito Foundation
This is a product I have used previously and need to repurchase. It’s an incredible stick foundation that provides great coverage and isn’t cakey. I can’t remember how much it was, but the whole Flower Beauty line is really affordable. (I don’t remember how much it was because a former friend may or may not have stolen it for me lolololololol hahahahaha oh….)
- Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons
Does this even need an intro?! Omg. Between this and the rumored Too Faced Peach Palette (I cannot tell you how much I love pink and peaches and all the girly things in the world eeeee) I may have an aneurysm. I mean just look at it. Ugh. TAKE MY MONEY! (Insert meme here.)
- NYX Lingerie
I just bought this gloss in Satin Ribbon and I’m loving it so far. As of right now, I like it a LOT better than all three of my Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipsticks. I want moooore.
- Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipstick
I still can’t decide how I feel about these. I like them a lot of the time, but other times I feel like they’re overly drying and don’t have long enough wear. Hm. I still don’t know. But the color selection is incredible and I wouldn’t mind adding some of the chocolate nudes to my collection.
- Colour Pop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Platform
These matte glosses are still my all time favorite. There are so many colors to choose from, and they aren’t overly drying. I need this light nude color soooo bad. Ugh it hurts to look at its beauty.
- Lucie and Pompette Lip Gloss Set
I have a gloss addiction. I’m ready to admit it. I’m not ashamed. These glosses have cute packaging and the brand looks sooo adorable. I definitely want something sparkly and plumping.
- Pat Pat brushes
I’ve seen these books in the Beauty Book Facebook group and heard great things. Unfortunately, the set I wanted is all sold out and the other sets look super cheap so I’m gonna play the waiting game.
- Alpha Hydrox Targeted Skin Lightener
This has top reviews on Paula’s Choice and the ingredients look great. I’ve always had issues with PIH a.k.a acne scarring so I definitely need another good spot lightener.
I know this is a pretty well known product but I’ve never actually used Aquaphor. I’ve heard that it’s a holy grail among makeup artists and skin experts for healing skin.
- Philosophy’s Hope in a Jar
Although most of the site reviews I’ve seen on Paula’s Choice seem exceptionally negative toward every product except their own, this had a pretty average one. I’ve heard that this cream is holy grail status for others, so I’d love to try it. The price tag kinda sucks though.
- St. Ives Collagen Moisturizer
I’ve heard this is a dupe for Hope in a Jar and I’m cheap as heeeeeeell so I’m probs just gonna get this and not the actual Hope in a Jar lolololololol
- Dr. Jart Ceramidin Liquid
Musing’s of a Muse talks super highly of this, and she’s a blogger I always trust when it comes to reviews. This is supposed to be great for dry skin and giiiiiirl whose skin isn’t dry as hell in the winter.
Makeup & Skincare Hybrids
- Perricone No Foundation Foundation
I absolutely love skincare and makeup combos. Something about two of my favorite things at once just makes me tingle. Goddamn. I love the It Cosmetics CC Cream because it’s so creamy and moisturizing and has a ton of snail secretion, but I’d love to try something new as well. This foundation looks light and I’ve always wanted to try some Perricone products.
- Perricone No Blush Blush
Again, big fan of skincare and makeup in one and I need to try Perricone. I need more high end products in my life.
- Ardell Brow and Lash Treatment Gel
This has some great reviews and I’d love something effective that works for brows and lashes.
- L’Oreal Paris Lash Growth Serum
This is also supposed to be a great serum and isn’t too bad at $14.99, at least compared to Latisse.
And that, ladies and gents, is what I’ve been lusting over! What are you lusting over? Have you tried any of these products? Let me know what you think down below.
